Create Digital Motion » Panoramic Projections on the Cheap
searching for surround projections in the cdm archive i found this. wanted to do more of this sort of thing using the video matrix at the last project x presents, but didn’t have the time. i do have few things that tile nicely tho like scrolling arrow things and what not. i particularly like the central array of screens, breaking out of the ‘we have to put visuals over the stage’ mentality.
check out the urban art forms site too
small documentary about the medium perfectly describes the same sort of learning curve we found ourselves. choreography of all the actors at every moment. and the camera itself. interesting that they don’t mention projecting it in 360′ though.

i love the simplicity of the design here. a xmas tree baubel used to do what high grade optics or precision mirror balls costing thousands might.
geodesic dome with the canvas suspended on the inside
This is meant to be screened in a planetarium dome. Working with Choreographer Lisa Wetton on the Fracture Screen Dance program i made this fulldome film for the Birmingham Digital Planetarium in the Thinktank at Millenium Point. It is an excerpt.
